Itaconix reports slower than anticipated revenue in 2017

Itaconix reported slower than anticipated revenue growth in 2017 of £600,000 compared with £300,000 in the previous year while operating loss was unchanged from the prior year at £5.2m.

The company said key partnerships signed during the year included, Croda, AkzoNobel Performance Additives, and AkzoNobel Chelates, while a distributor network was established for its personal care business.

Dr Bryan Dobson, Chairman, said: 'Itaconix has achieved real commercial progress in 2017, albeit at a slower than anticipated revenue growth rate.'

'The business is now well positioned with products in market and channels in place, both through major strategic partnerships with parties such as Solvay, Croda and AkzoNobel as well as a distribution network for Personal Care. The Board is confident that the Company is now well positioned to deliver revenue growth from 2018.'

Itaconix licensing deal with tremco-illbruck

Itaconix has licensed certain non-core polymer assets developed under a joint development agreement to tremco illbruck Limited, an RPM International Inc company.

Under the terms of the deal, tremco-illbruck will acquire the rights to certain Itaconix polymer technology to improve the performance of its construction sealant products.

tremco-illbruck will make royalty payments to Itaconix on net sales of derived products incorporating Itaconix technology.

Itaconix and AkzoNobel to develop bio-based chelates

Itaconix has signed an application agreement with AkzoNobel's speciality chemicals business to evaluate and develop innovative bio-based chelates for use in the consumer and industrial detergents and cleaners markets.

Itaconix said this was the second partnership stemming from a joint development agreement signed by the companies earlier this year to develop and commercialise sustainable products made from renewable feedstocks using Itaconix technology.

Products from this collaboration will be marketed under AkzoNobel's Dissolvine brand.

Infosys and HP launch joint service solution

Infosys has confirmed that the Company and HP have launched joint Retail Point of Sale (RPOS) and Enterprise Device as a Service (DaaS) solutions, which it said is to help businesses accelerate digital transformation as part of the HP Global System Integrator (GSI) Alliance Program.

The Company added that the joint RPOS solution offers a digital approach across the supply chain, enabling real-time collaboration between shoppers, retailers and vendors at the point of purchase, providing a true omnichannel experience.

It said the joint Enterprise Device as a Service solution defines and delivers technologyenabled transformations that optimize how organizations acquire, manage and use devices with endto-end services, enterprise applications, fleet reporting, analytics, insights and more.

"Together, HP and Infosys can improve end-customer experience, while forging deeper, more valuable relationships with joint customers across industries, enabling them to embark on their own business reinvention journeys," said Jon Flaxman, Chief Operating Officer, HP.

"The launch of the RPOS and Enterprise DaaS solutions validates our joint vision with HP for revolutionizing the retail industry through constant innovation, and deep analytics," said Sandeep Dadlani, President and Head of Americas, Infosys.
