John Brennan, Chairman

John is one of the Founding Directors of Beaufort Securities which was originally established in 1992 under the name Hoodless Brennan. With over 30 years experience in the finance industry, John is a well known and highly respected industry figure within the Small Cap Market. John leads Beaufort's drive to open up the Small Cap Market as well as the broader Stockmarket including International opportunities as investment opportunities for retail clients. He is a strong advocate of the use of technology provided by the Internet to enhance the service and communication that can be provided by today’s Stockbroker. John started his career back in 1974 with Sun Alliance, and in 1980 became an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Subsequently he has become a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. A proud father of a large family, he spends most of his weekends engaged in family activity.

Tanvier Malik, Chief Executive Officer

Tanvier has over 20 years of experience at various corporate finance houses, including Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and Alberdale Partners. Tanvier was appointed Beaufort Securities' Chief Executive Officer in 2012 and is also a director of Beaufort International Associated Ltd.

Tahir Akbar FCCA, Chief Finance Officer

Tahir is a qualified accountant with over 8 years experience in various City accountancy firms including Baker Tilley. He spent 11 years as Group Financial Controller of a large UK-based food, beverage and tobacco wholesaler. Tahir became Beaufort Securities' Chief Finance Officer in 2012 and is also a director of Beaufort International Associates Ltd.

John Douthwaite, Chief Operations Officer

John has over 25 years experience in retail stockbroking and was instrumental in the creation of both City Deal Services, one of the fastest growing broking businesses in the 1990s, and more recently comdirect which merged in 2006 with Selftrade to form one of the UK's largest retail execution only stockbrokers. John is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and sits on a number of advisory panels and committees for both the CISI and Association of Private Client Stockbrokers and Investment Managers (APCIMS), the trade body representing private client stockbrokers and wealth managers.

Tim Chandler, Head of Stock Sourcing

Tim has worked in the Financial Services Industry for twenty-five years, twenty of those with Beaufort. He is one of the original founder shareholders of the company. Tim joined the board as a director two years ago and his days are mainly spent liaising with market counterparties. In his current role as Head of Stock Sourcing he is involved in the raising of capital for AIM companies.

John Farthing, Non-Executive Director

John has worked in the City of London all his career. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Kingston Smith in 1988 and then became Finance Director of Cheviot Asset Management Ltd in 1993. John led the sale of Cheviot in 2006 since when he has been involved in a number of businesses including the founding of SimplyStockbroking in 2009 which led to his involvement with Beaufort resulting in joining the board as a Non-Executive Director in 2014.

John is a Liveryman and Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of World Traders and a Trustee of its Charity

Luke Webster, Non-Executive Director

Luke is a qualified solicitor with several years of corporate finance experience as a Qualified Executive. He is currently working for several family offices based in China and the Middle East managing investments which include listed businesses in Hong Kong, London and Singapore. Luke also advises third parties in the region on accessing investment and potential IPOs.

Luke joined the Board of Beaufort Securities as a Non-Executive Director in 2014.
