Advisory Charges
Principal Dealing
- Commission Free
- Subject to a £20 Compliance Charge Per Trade.
Agency Commission - All UK Equities Except Government Stocks
- On the First £0 to £10,000 = 1.65%
- On the next £10,001 and above = 1%
- Minimum Commission £20 Per Trade
- All Agency Bargains are subject to a £20 Compliance Charge. Agency transactions that do not settle via the UK and Crest are chargeable at £40 per trade or 0.5% whichever is greater.
UK Government Stocks and Corporate Bonds
- On the First £0 to £10,000 = 1.65%
- On the next £10,001 and above = Negotiable
- Minimum Commission £20 Per Trade
Unit Trusts
- Commission is paid by Unit Fund Manager on Purchases. Sales charged at UK Equity Scale.
Other Charges
- We may charge £20 each time a sale trade is not fulfilled within one business day after its settlement date.
- We reserve the right to apply interest charges at 8% above our bank’s published lending rates for any late settlement of purchase transactions.
- Withdrawal of Share Certificates - £16.
- Declined cheque return fee - £15
Other Services
- Internal stock transfer - £16 per item.
- Transfer of holdings to other institutions - £16 per item.
- Transfer of foreign holdings outside of Crest via Agent £50 per item.
- Audit requests - £15 per item.
- Probate valuations - £25 + £10 per line of stock.
- Pre-IPOs, New Issues and Placings - Up to 10% per transaction (subject to suitability).
- Corporate action handling - £10 per item.
- Tape recordings of telephone conversations - £25 minimum charge (full details of charges on request).
- ISA Annual Management Fee - £50 per annum.
- Only customers who hold cash in our bank’s “Cash Deposit Account” will be paid interest. Interest will be payable at a rate 2% below the Bank of England base rate or zero, whichever is greater. Interest will be credited quarterly. We reserve the right not to credit interest where the amount would be less than £5 per quarter.
- Stamp Duty - UK Equities 0.5% on all purchases. Different rates may apply to Foreign Market listed shares.
- PTM Levy - Panel of Takeovers & Mergers Levy - £1.00 on all transactions of £10,000 and over for UK Equities.

Transferring shares from another broker...
- To arrange an electronic transfer of shares you hold with another broker to your Beaufort Securities Advisory Stockbroking account you'll need to download, print and complete our Advisory Account Transfer-In Form. We will then contact your current broker.
- This process usually takes up to 10 working days.
